Breaking the monotony of learning process: Saveetha University Director 'invents' MILA Multiple interacting learning algorithm(MILA) attempts to replace the old style of education and create an effective ,enthusiastic and active learning environment for students. The project developed by -Director of Academics in Saveetha University,Dr.Deepak Nallaswamy, breaks the monotony of hours of lectures and replaces it with facilitator mediated active learning process.

10th  Graduation Day of  Saveetha Engineering College
10th Graduation Day of Saveetha Engineering College was held on 07th February,2015  in MM Convention Centre, Saveetha Dental College Campus,Poonamallee.Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan, President, Saveetha Educational Trust and Chancellor of Saveetha University presided over the function
Dr. R. Venkatsamy, Principal has highlighted the robust growth of the institution in the fields of academic performance, Industry Institute Interaction Initiatives, MOUs with industry ,R&D activities, Training the students ,Placement ,Faculty Development etc .He has also said that Saveetha Engineering College has signed MOUs with with various companies.
Shri.S.Anantha Chandra Bose, Chairman, V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin was the Chief Guest and  addressed the graduands and distributed the degree certificates to 671 graduands of BE, B.Tech, MBA, MCA and ME  courses, which includes 30 university rank holders.
Chief guest in his validatery address to the graduands highlighted the various technological advancements and challenges we are going to face in the future. Shri.S.Anantha Chandra Bose, Chairman, V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin said that  we are in a globalized society with tremendous technological achievements.  In the last 100 years, so many discoveries have been made in different spheres of Science and Technology – Space Research & Technology, Nuclear Science, Computer Science and Technology, Atmospheric Sciences, Bio-technology, Medical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Earth Sciences, Nano Technology, Space Research, Energy, Astronomy and exploring minerals in different planets as well as in deeper seas.
On other side he said that there are also  a very challenging  technological advancement before us like construction of the three gorges dam at the highest attitude in China, construction of Railway line in Tibetan Plateau of the Himalayan range of hills in the Chinese Territory at sub-zero temperature, construction of the longest bridge in West Asia, construction of Airport in the mid-sea and construction of an Island – Tulip Island in Netherlands, so he stressed the importance of learning day to day technology and  developments in the field of Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering  to compete in world market.He said that  Ports are economic engines contributing immensely for nation building by facilitating EXIM trade of the country  as well as in providing opportunities for well qualified engineers. He said that there is a  Massive expansion plans  underway in the Port sector as well as in the National Highway and  Railways where there is huge requirement of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Marine Engineers, Electrical Engineers and so on, so engineers have lot of opportunities  before them, provided they prepare for it and face it. 
 Earlier the function started with lighting of Kutthuvillaku by Chief Guest Shri.S.Anantha Chandra Bose, Chairman, V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin and  Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan, President, Saveetha Educational Trust and Chancellor of Saveetha University,Dr.S.Rajesh,Director, Saveetha Engineering College, Dr.R.Venkatsamy, Principal Professor  R.Dheenadayalu, Dean –ICT.

Mrs J.Joy Prisilla , Head–Department of science and Humanities,   delivered the  vote of thanks.
