BACHELOR OF VOCATION (B.VOC) COURSE IN AUTOMOTIVE WAS INAUGURATED
Chennai: Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) course in Automotive was inaugurated at Saveetha School of Engineering (SSE), Saveetha University, Chennai.
TISS-SVE offers courses currently beginning with Diploma course and leading to Bachelor of Vocational Degree (B.Voc). This course allows the students who have completed 12th standard, ITI and Diploma to join directly at NSQF Level 5 based on their academic achievements. The target group for such courses is largely marginalized youth who are seeking non-formal educational
methods to enhance earning capabilities and thereby improve livelihood conditions.Dr. S. Siva Raju Chairperson Centre for Population- TATA Institute of Social Science (TISS) was the chief guest.Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan Chancellor Saveetha University presided over the function.Chancellor Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, in his presidential address, emphasized that the mission of Saveetha University is to serve people and uplift the students in rural areas.
The Chief Guest Dr. S. Siva Raju, insisted that education should reach not only the affluent ones, but also the under privileged students.Mr. S. Rajasekaran, Managing Director, Infant Engineers Pvt. Ltd, Chennai,Mr. V. Sunder, Managing Director, Ma Foi Connecting Dots Advisory Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. Ms. Ramya Deepak, Director,SSE,Dr. P. Shankar Principal,SSE and Dr. S. Mohanamurugan,Hub Admin,SSE were present.
