Saveetha University organized the White Coat Ceremony
Chennai: "White Coat Ceremony 2015" of Saveetha University (MBBS and BDS Students) Was held at the M M Convention Centre in Saveetha Dental College Campus poonnamallee.
Dr.Gita Arjun,Director of E V Kalyani Medical Foundation and Dr. Sekhar Chennupati Founder and Managing Director of Denty's Clinics was the Chief guests.
Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan Chancellor of Saveetha University presided over the function and distributed white coats to the students.
Chancellor Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan In his presidential address highlighted the Growth of Saveetha University over 10 years. Saveetha Medical College Director Dr.Saveetha Rajesh, In her speech focused the commitments of Medical profession and Saveetha University Director of Academics Dr. Deepak Nallasamy, In his speech highlighted the growth of Saveetha Dental college over 27 years. Vice Chancellor Dr. R.Rajagopal and Registrar Dr.D.Prabhavathy, were present. Saveetha Medical college Dean, Dr.T.Gunasagaran welcome the gathering and Dental college Dean Dr.N.D.Jayakumar proposed a vote of thanks. MBBS and BDS Students of 2015 batch Gathered at the white coat ceremony along with their parents and guests after Which the program started as per schedule.
White Coat ceremony celebrate an important milestone in the lives of first-year MBBS and BDS students, who begin a new chapter in their journey of lifelong learning. White coats are symbolic of the professionalism that is expected of students during Medicine and Dentistry, and as physicians and dentists.
White coat ceremony reaffirms the community's support of the educational process that prepares future health care professionals for practice. On this day, students pledge their commitment to their professions and to the health of the patients they will serve.
